H elf names — 24+ Names Starting with H

H is the sound of breath passing through a narrow space — a soft hiss, a whisper, something almost spoken against the ear. almost a silent breath — a whisper that barely touches the ear. In the naming vocabulary, H belongs to dusk and wind: heather, haven, and hyacinth imagery. A character with an H-initial name reads like treetops at twilight — present, but quiet. In our library, H is a generous first letter: this page gathers 24 genuine elf names that begin with H, filtered from the full elf pool by first letter, and each one feels both mysterious and light. H-names suit dusk-walkers, quiet agents, and those who made a pact with the stars — characters who act before anyone hears them coming. The breathy quality of the H sound is why it works: it is the closest the alphabet comes to silence, and a name that starts near silence makes whatever follows feel like a secret. If your character should sound like a sentence not yet finished, H is the letter that does it — and the sibling pages cover every other letter.
